Interviews with Jon and Dani Wrobell, Stars of HGTV’s Flip To A Million, Performer Ray Castronovo of the band Streetwise and Memphis roots rock artist Chris Nurthen

August 8th, 2022

Join us as we speak with fellow Long Islanders, Jon and Dani Wrobel, stars of HGTV's new HIT show 'Flip To A Million'.

***Airs Mondays at 9 PM EST on HGTV.

Jon is a real estate expert and businessman who grew up in Suffolk County, NY. Growing up around historic homes, Jon often helped his dad fix up and flip old homes as investments. After meeting his wife Danielle, a.k.a. Dani, an occupational therapist turned interior designer, the pair decided to make flipping and home renovation their career along with founding, True Place Company, a real estate investment firm. As if they're not busy enough, they are also opening a True Place Company home+living store in Sayville, NY. Fellow Long Islanders, come out and support.

Jon teams up with Dani in HGTV's new series, 'Flip To A Million', where they attempt to reach the ultimate $1 million house sale.

In 'Flip To A Million', HGTV conducts an edge-of-your-seat house flipping experiment as never seen before. The six one-hour episodes will follow two couples, Jason and EJ Williams of Chicago and Jon and Dani of Long Island, who are both successful house flippers in their respective markets. During the series, narrated by HGTC star Alison Victoria, the pairs will be dropped in an unfamiliar city-Dallas, Texas-where they will set out to prove that, in the world of real estate, it's possible to start out with almost nothing and turn it into a fortune. With an initial budget of only $1,000.00, each couple will work with the real estate and flipping market to buy, renovate, and sell properties. Their goal: build to a $1 million house sale in just six months. To try to make it happen, the duos must take real risks and go to any length to Flip to a Million.

***Tune in Mondays at 9 PM EST on HGTV to watch 'Flip To A Million'.

TV sitcom Happy Days Marion Ross A.K.A. Mrs. Cunningham/Mrs. C, Discover Plus ’Serving The Hamptons’ star Zach Erdem and Indie Artist Oliver Houser

June 17th, 2022

On today's show, we have iconic and legendary TV actress Marion Ross, AKA Mrs. C-Mrs. Cunningham from the TV show Happy Days.

Marion talks about her early days in Hollywood, Happy Days, working with and being friends with Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Anson Williams, Donny Most, Erin Moran and Mr. C himself-Tom Bosely, along with what brought her to write her HIT memoir, My Days: Happy & Otherwise.

In her warm and candid memoir, My Days: Happy & Otherwise, Marion shares loving recollections from the award-winning Happy Days team from break-out star Henry Winkler to Cunningham 'wild child' Erin Moran. Marion shares what it was like to be a starry-eyed young girl with dreams in poor, rural Minnesota, and the resilience, sacrifices, and determination it took to make them come true. She recalls her early years in the business, being in the company of such luminaries as Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, and Noel Coward, yet always feeling the Hollywood outsider-a painful invisibility that mirrored her own childhood. She reveals the absolute joys of playing a wife and mother on TV, and the struggles of maintaining those roles in real life. Among Ross's most heart-rending recollections are those of finally finding a soul mate-another secret hope of hers made true well beyond her expectations.

Funny, poignant, revealing and featuring Gary Marshall's final illuminating interview, as well as a touching forward from her 'TV son' Ron Howard, and her conversation with her real-life son Jim Meskimen (IG: @jimpressions), Marion Ross's story is one of inspiration, persistence, and gratitude. It's also a glowing tribute to all those who fulfilled her dreams and in turn, gave us some of the happiest days of our own lives.

Interviews with 2x Heart Transplant Recipient and Author Steven Taibbi, Singer-Songwriter INIKO and Artist-Musician Sidney Riley

June 17th, 2022

On today's show, we have 2X heart transplant recipient Steven Taibbi.

He discusses his latest book. 'Grateful Guilt: Living in the Shadow of My Heart'.

In his book, Steven documents his life's journey dealing with his heart issues along with all the up's and downs life has thrown his way.

In a rare moment of extended family bonding, Steven Taibbi a 2X heart donor recipient just met with the family of the recent donor. The family, that did not originally respond to the thank you from Mr. Taibbi, would later contact him when they were ready. The donor's mother expressed their desire to meet him. Steven arrived with a stethoscope in hand, should they wish to listen to the heart of their son and father beating in Steve's chest. All of the women in the family (mother, sister, daughter, ex-wife, and aunt) took turns listening, while the male members (father and sons) opted not to listen. They informed Steve, that night, that they considered him family now. Statistically, only 3% of donor families answer any correspondence, let alone meet the recipient, and it sometimes does not go well. However, in this case, the donor's mother expressed her joy that her son's life helped not only save Steven's life but several others as a multiple organ donor.

For 25 years, Steven owned his own production company and was a Director/Producer/Director of Photography for both corporate and commercial video and film. He has also been a contributing writer for Videography magazine and other productions. He has written television scripts, TV and Radio commercials and was the lyricist for a song-writing team. Mr. Taibbi was the Vice President of Transplant Speakers International and is currently a public speaker and organ donation advocate, as well as a professional photographer.

Paperback, ISBN: 9780578473390

Also today we speak with singer/songwriter INIKO and listen to their latest HIT song, 'The King's Affirmation'.

To wrap up today's show we speak with singer/songwriter Sidney Riley and listen to his latest HIT song,

'It's Always Been You'.

Originally hailing from Washington, D.C., Sidney has been involved with the arts since he learned to play the piano at age 9. After discovering his deep passion for singing, as a cast member of 'Children's Choice', a popular children's British television show filmed in the Middle East, Riley decided to take his musical career more seriously. While in high school, he formed an acapella group and began writing original music. During that time, he alongside his high school choir had the fortune to perform at The Kennedy Center honoring Quincy Jones.

Soon after celebrating this momentous occasion, Riley fell critically ill with meningoencephalitis, a rare disease that had him fighting for his life and in a coma for several months. Upon waking from his coma, he embarked on the long road to recovery.

He credits his recovery, in part, to the role music played in his life and the motivation it gave him to get better.

Since then, he has made music his priority. Currently involved in several projects for himself and other artists from various genres, Sidney is ready to put his best foot forward while letting music guide his journey.

Wrapping up today's show is Jasmine Jordan.

With a style that's reminiscent of the emotions we felt from the early 90's R&B, Jasmine Jordan spreads messages of self-love, love of others, and women empowerment. With incredible range, storytelling, and passion, Jordan captivates audiences with relatable narratives that convey love's enthralling and heartbreaking dynamics. Jordan grew up in Lacy Washington, where her love of music was influenced by R&B and POP sensations Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Tamia, and Alicia Keys.

She released her first EP in January 2015 and has since then gone on three west coast tours, opened up for Grammy-nominated R&B singer Joe and released another EP called 'Things Change', followed by consistent releases of new singles. Her first single of 2018 was a female empowerment anthem for every woman's Summer playlist titled 'Beloved'. This R&B track embodies and emotes the superhero strength every woman has: the power of discernment. Followed by: 'Forbidden Fruit' and the latest single 'Choose Wisely', both R&B tracks that embody and emote the human in all of us.

Jordan is now gearing up to release this new project 'Innermission'. Influenced by POP, HipHop, Soul, R&B, and Groove. These elements can all be heard in her newest project which walks us through the self-love journey she has been on. Over the past decade, Thomas has worked (and still works) tirelessly on behalf of Crown and Country, building the British Monarchist Society and Foundation, which has become the leading organization for not only British, but international Monarchists which he funded himself. He has worked hard to incorporate like-minded people to be a part of this much-revered society within the United Kingdom, in which cumulatively, under Thomas’ direction, brings British traditions to the next level.

This is an exciting and challenging time for Thomas and his team, and it is with great commitment, energy and foresight that he is looking forward to producing an educational celebration within his latest project, “Crown and Country Magazine” that will leave a lasting legacy for future generations of Britons. In his spare time (which is very limited), Thomas enjoys traveling, horseback riding, the arts, theatre, music, fine dining, reading and writing.

Also today, we have Beauty and Style Expert, Andy Paige.

Andy is the charming and sassy go-to-gal for “thrifty-chic” fashion fixes and budget beauty help. Andy understands that most women live on a budget and yet still want to turn heads and drop jaws. That’s why she carved out a niche focusing on the “average” American woman. She developed her own line of affordable, all-natural-hair cosmetic brushes (ANDY PAIGE COSMETIC BRUSHES™) and launched STYLE IN A BOX™ – a thrifty-chic bundle of accessories that offers an immediate style boost to any outfit. She makes looking spectacular fun and easy.

In June 2013, Andy launched her newest product, the GirlyGoGarter®, a hands-free purse worn neatly and discretely as a sexy garter, that was nearly five years in the making and includes three patents. Andy knows how challenging it is to figure out where to put your girlie must-haves (like lipstick, your mobile phone, I.D., powder brush and even small baby items) when you don’t want to lug a handbag. The garter fits snugly around the thigh and allows a woman to conceal these items and more without showing a bulge through her dress. This is fast becoming the must-have item for 2013. Every woman at one time or another will need a GirlyGoGarter®.

Andy is the author of the internationally best-selling book, Style On A Shoestring and has experience doing over 100 “fabulously frugal” makeovers on over 200 episodes of television, airing in over 14 countries. She earned her title, “Budget Bombshell,” honestly through her extensive work. She was featured on NBC’s Starting Over, TLC’s Ten Years Younger, Style Network’s How Do I Look, and SOAP NET’S Soap Talk. Andy has also appeared on hundreds of local networks doing various style segments.

So grab your reins and hold on for a fun, fun interview.
